Who watches the Watchmen? Alan Moore won't

Esta vez me voy a ahorrar opiniones y comentario, dejo que el realizador de la historia hable por si solo.
Lo siguiente es fragmento de una entrevista a Alan Moore el año pasado, le preguntaron que piensa de la adaptación y le dijeron que Zack Snyder era el ideal para adaptarla, ya que había hecho 300.

"He may very well be, but the thing is that he's also the person who made '300.' I've not seen any recent comic book films, but I didn't particularly like the book '300.' I had a lot of problems with it, and everything I heard or saw about the film tended to increase [those problems] rather than reduce them: [That] it was racist, it was homophobic, and above all it was sublimely stupid. I know that that's not what people going in to see a film like 300 are thinking about but...I wasn't impressed
with that.... I talked to [director] Terry Gilliam in the '80s, and he asked me how I would make 'Watchmen' into a film. I said, ''Well actually, Terry, if anybody asked me, I would have said, 'I wouldn't.' '' And I think that Terry [who aborted his attempted adaptation of the book] eventually came to agree with me. There are things that we did with 'Watchmen' that could only work in a comic, and were indeed designed to show off things that other media can't."

Seguro que podría serlo, lo que pasa es que él es también la persona que hizo "300", no ví muchas películas basadas en comics ultimamente, pero la verdad no me gustó particularmente el comic "300". Tuve muchos problemas con él, y todo lo que oí o ví de la película tendía a incrementar estos problemas en vez de a reducirlos: era racista, homofóbico, y sobre todo sublimemente estupido. Sé que éstas no son las cosas en las que piensan personas que van a ver una película como "300" pero... eso no me sorprende... Hablé con Terry Gillian en los 80, el me preguntó como transformaría "Watchmen" en una película. Yo le dije, "en realidad Terry, si alguien me lo hubiese preguntado, yo le habría respondido 'no lo haría.' " Y creo que Terry (quién canceló su intento de adaptación del comic) eventualmente me dió la razón. Hay muchas cosas que hicimos en "Watchmen" que solo podrían funcionar en un comic, y fueron deliveradamente diseñadas para mostrar elementos que otros medios no pueden.
